A Jersey Shore Tradition
The Bogan family has deep roots along the Jersey Shore. In 1930, they founded Bogan’s Basin in Brielle, New Jersey, where they operated their fishing fleet along the Manasquan River. For generations, the Bogan family has welcomed visitors to the waterfront, sharing the beauty and character of this coastal community.
In 1988, the family expanded their maritime tradition by introducing the River Queen, offering scenic river cruises and private events along the calm inland waterways of the Manasquan River, Point Pleasant Canal, and Barnegat Bay.
The River Queen
The River Queen is a custom-built Mississippi Riverboat replica designed to capture the charm and elegance of historic river travel. Commissioned from a boat builder in North Carolina, the vessel made a remarkable maiden voyage of over 1,000 miles along the Intracoastal Waterway before arriving at her home port in Brielle, NJ. Until Recently, it sailed alongside its sister ship The River Belle, before heading south to start its new journey as the Barefoot Queen.
Today, the River Queen features climate-controlled cabins, mahogany wood floors, oak paneling, two fully stocked bars, and spacious viewing decks that allow guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Jersey Shore while cruising the region’s scenic waterways.

Since her launch, the River Queen has hosted thousands of cruises, celebrations, and private events. The Bogan family and their dedicated captains, crew, caterers, and booking staff work together to ensure that every trip is memorable from start to finish.
